HR Networking
In the end, no matter how much you plan every moment, it is the unplanned events that make your day special. Though we arrange for a full agenda of presentations and roundtable discussions, we understand the importance of unstructured networking time. User groups, professional associations and other organizational meetings are a great opportunity for HR professionals to leave the office and talk to other professionals about the problems that they are facing in their organization.
It is always funny to me to see the shock on my clients’ faces when they learn that someone else has gone through the same problem and can provide advice on what works, and more importantly, what doesn’t. Because even though you may think your organization is strange, or different, or unique - your challenges are not.
Events like Salary.community are a great way to learn about the creative and varied ways other HR pros have approached a similar problem. You leave with a different perspective and a pocketful of contacts who can help see you through.
We’re already planning our slate of 2010 meetings, so be sure to keep an eye out here as we announce our schedule early next year.
